General Plastics, Inc. has developed a culture – a Brand – committed to: investing in innovation whether through improving or expanding the footprint of the existing facility; improving and enhancing automation and controls technology; continuous quality improvement; and growing its customer base.
“We believe the only way to grow and maintain our commitment to innovation is to look at the entire company on all levels of production, operations, clientele and products. That is what we did in developing our five-year strategy,” said Bob Porsche, Owner and President, General Plastics, Inc.
Once the components of the five-year strategic plan were identified, the team began to categorize and prioritize the plan’s initiatives. In just one year’s time, the company expanded its facility by 42,000-square-feet; added an employee lot, a furnished patio area and grill; installed new equipment including a gas drying oven and spray booth with internal curing capacity.
With a culture focused on investing in innovation, it should come as no surprise that General Plastics has also:

- Received a Finalist plaque for the 2016 Manufacturer of the Year (winner to be announced in February 2017). - Recognized as a finalist for 2016 Plastics News Processor of the Year (to be announced in March 2017).
